Our visit to North Carolina coincided with our anniversary, and Nancy and Jerry’s. Their anniversary is just the day after ours. We celebrated with dinner out at one of their favorite restaurants. Nancy’s mom sent a box of chocolate covered strawberries, complete with silver serving tray. A delicious treat, packed in ice, and delivered […] Yesterday, in a light rain, the Smoky Mountains lived up to their name. The photo is of the ridges seen from Cade’s Cove, a small community begun around 1830. I don’t think we’d see a motel sign like this in California. In addition, the Bible in the room of this Pigeon Forge, TN motel was prominently displayed, opened to the twenty-third Psalm. |
