I don’t think we’d see a motel sign like this in California. In addition, the Bible in the room of this Pigeon Forge, TN motel was prominently displayed, opened to the twenty-third Psalm. Our North Carolina trip was a bit too early for the fall color display. But we have good reason for not being away from home in October (like a due date for a new grandchild’s birth). This hillside at Craggy Gardens (just a few miles north of Asheville) will glow with reds, oranges, and yellows […] To our detriment, I suppose, this was as close as we got to a bluegrass performance in Asheville. There was, however, an impromptu performer on the square near an outdoor café who sang some folk country. |
