Summit Road GBA 4×4

Dan and I left this morning a little after 7 AM to get to the Summit Store on Summit Road in the Santa Cruz mountains by 9 AM. Traffic was lighter than I expected so we we had time to find one cache before getting to the store.

After meeting up with the group (6 vehicles total) we headed south onto some dirt roads, the least improved of which was in Nisene Marks State Park. We finished around noon in Corralitos.

We headed off on our own to get a few more finds along the beach in Seacliff State Beach. Total finds for the day was 14.

A walk in Bishop Ranch open space

Looking for a close by location for an afternoon walk, Karen and I grabbed 4 caches in Bishop Ranch open space. We traversed the loop clockwise and met 4wheeler doing it counter-clockwise. Afterwards, we got one more in a close by park and ride.

FTF in Morgan Territory

Dan noticed there was a new cache (Pa Morgan’s Territory) approved this afternoon in Morgan Territory and called and asked if I was up for an adventure. He wanted to go after it when he got home from work. I did a little homework to find the appropriate trailhead–a bit different than the one suggested and different than the one Dan would have taken. We were on the trail and it was already pretty dark, but after a short while our eyes adapted to the moonlight and we did the whole hike just by moonlight. And we were the first to find.
