After going up the hill through a narrow easement the trail skirts an open field looking out on the Eugene O’Neil National Historic Park before starting a steep ascent to the top of the ridgeline. We headed west on the ridgeline trail. The views were pretty good into the distance, although the sky was a bit grey because of high clouds. Flowers weren’t abundant, but there were a few varieties for some photos.
We took the Corduroy Hills trail over Eagle Peak and then the Madrone Trail back to complete the 6.9 mile loop.
