Tour de Tank has been active for a couple of days, so after Karen left for the morning I gathered up my hiking stuff and went after it on Pleasanton Ridge. I used the Longview trail head which unfortunately means a steep hike up Longview just to get to the trailhead. I was on the trail by about 8:30 AM and found it at 9:55, but SARCRZY had got there at 8:30 AM.
On the way back, I went after Park Anywhere, but couldn’t find it. Turns out it’s right at the trail head parking in Castlewood, and its hard to get there if you aren’t a Pleasanton resident.
Nevertheless, it was all a nice hike of about 5.5 miles.
Instead of taking the direct route home, I went back to hunt Tassajara Road, going up… This time finding step 3 was a snap, and the next two stages were OK. It’s all foliage hides, and I find that kind of hide tough. Wrapped it up at 12:29 PM.
