Thanksgiving was always a time for a big family get together and dinner when I was a kid (as was Easter and Christmas). With lots of aunts and uncles living nearby, it wasn’t uncommon to have 20 or 30 folks gathered around the table. I remember those times in general, although none of them specifically. Those are good memories.
Our family today is small in comparison to that of my childhood family, but I’m thankful we live in close enough proximity to continue that same tradition of holiday meals together. This year we were able to have four generations around our table.Chase seemed to enjoy getting to know his great-grandmother. This was only the second time he has seen her, and the first time he has been able to interact.
After dinner we had our own private ballet by Cortnie, who loves to dance.
Afterwards, Chase got his uncle to read to him.
