Fall is a wonderful time to visit Sisters, OR. The rental rates are lower in the off-season, hiking trails are not crowded, and the falls colors are beautiful. Of course, there is an increased risk of cold, wet weather, but we don’t usually let that slow us down.
We hiked quite a bit of the Deschutes River trail, visited Tumalo Falls for the first time, and loved the intense reds of the vine maples along the Metolius River and the trail to Linton Lake.
