Logging the TVC: Byte Overflow challenge cache

GC321HZ is a challenge cache that requires the finding in a single day of enough caches so that the sum of the difficulty stars and the terrain stars exceeds 256. I was unsure if I could qualify, but I ran the numbers of my maximum find day—an outing with the SoCal 4×4 group in the Dale mining district near Twentynine Palms on Dec 27, 2008. Interestingly, my blog post indicates I found 72 caches, but my Geocaching.com statistics page says only 69. That’s not unusual, I think. I probably missed logging 3 of the finds, or I miscounted how many I really found. Anyway, the sum of the stars for all of the caches logged that day totals 300. So, today I found and logged the challenge cache. Here is my list of caches to qualify. By the way, I needed 56 caches to qualify for the challenge.
