We started the day feeling a little tired, so we decided we’d just check out a few trailheads we’ve never been to. We stopped at Convict Lake first, and we could have done quite a bit of hiking and geocaching around the lake, but it just didn’t seem that appealing. So we drove on to Bishop and up to Lake Sabrina.
Beautiful Blue Lake
From the trailhead parking area we couldn’t see Lake Sabrina so we decided to hike for a bit on the trail. In just a little while we began to feel refreshed, and the scenery was pretty, so we just kept hiking toward Blue Lake. In the 3 miles to Blue Lake, we climbed from 9,100 ft to 10,200 ft. Blue Lake is in a lovely setting. We definitely want to return, getting an earlier start and lingering a while at the lake.
