Our North Carolina trip was a bit too early for the fall color display. But we have good reason for not being away from home in October (like a due date for a new grandchild’s birth). This hillside at Craggy Gardens (just a few miles north of Asheville) will glow with reds, oranges, and yellows in just a few weeks.
It will look something like this. I took this picture a few years during a bicycle tour of the entire Blue Ridge parkway.
On this trip we found some isolated color, like the tree was over-anxious for fall.
