It is a day for memories. We held the memorial service for Karen’s mom just 3 days ago. My dad died 10 years ago. His name is on the monument pictured here. The local VFW placed flags at the head of every veteran’s grave. The fading sunlight highlighted the red, white, and blue of the flags scattered throughout this small cemetery.
